This project demonstrates how a significant change in use and quality can be achieved without increasing floor area. The existing conservatory was shallow and poorly insulated, leaving the ground floor fragmented and dark.

The proposal upgrades the conservatory fabric and reorganises the layout to form a continuous kitchen, dining and living space with a small work-from-home corner. Improved circulation and a stronger connection to the garden allow daylight to reach deep into the plan, making the home feel brighter and more generous.

A well-equipped kitchen with ample storage and a working island sits at the centre, with a snug built-in dining area alongside it. The space now supports many activities at once — cooking, working, relaxing and everyday family life — while keeping everyone connected.

The project shows how thoughtful re-planning can deliver a major transformation within the existing footprint.
